The Holistic Teaching and Learning Club will be hosting a Self Care Night, Monday, November 27th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in EP 195. This will be a great time to ease back into the rest of fall term after Thanksgiving break.

The Holistic Teaching & Learning Club will be hosting an Aspiring Educators Night Monday, November 7th from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the EP 195. During this time club leaders will share about how to become an Oregon Aspiring Educator.

The Holistic Teaching & Learning Club will be hosting a Rock Painting event on Monday, October 24th from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in the Ed/Psych Building. During this time club leaders will be connecting with club members and encouraging them to join us for upcoming leadership opportunities.

Students are off to Bangkok, Thailand with Dr. William Greene to visit Roong Aroon International School. During their stay, students will be able collaborate with teachers, experience the culture, and embark on fun excursions.

Students are off to Dingle, Ireland with Dr. William Greene to experience the cultural richness of Irish culture and history while learning about holistic education in the spectacular setting of County Kerry.

A representative from our OEA Chapter was elected alongside over 6,000 other teachers, aspiring, educators, and other delegates to participate at the annual National Education Association Representative Assembly in Orlando, FL. The aspiring educator’s caucus was able to pass two New Business Items (NBI) for paid student teaching.

This two-part workshop series will explore methods for integrating Social Emotional Learning (SEL) practices into the K-12 classroom and there will be ample time given for class discussion, breakout groups, and practical exercises. This event will be hosted by Michele Pavilionis who will present SEL: Native American Practice.

STUDENTS April 23rd
Four HLT-Club leaders were elected alongside over 600 other delegates to participate at the annual Oregon Education Association Representative Assembly. Aspiring educators were able to advocate, submit NEW Business Items, and hold our elected official accountable.
