HTLC ’21 FAQs

What is Holistic Education?

Holistic education is concerned with connections in human experience – connections between mind and body, between linear thinking and intuitive ways of knowing, between individual and community, and between the personal self and the transpersonal self. ~ Jack Miller

When is the 2021 Conference?

NEWSFLASH! We are VIRTUAL. Offerings will begin Friday evening, October 8, continue all day Saturday the 9th, with offerings Sunday morning, October 10th.  Mark your calendars! PRESENTERS: PLEASE SEE BELOW!

We SO want an in-person event. Why is HTLC ’21 now a virtual gathering?

The Delta COVID variant.   Rather than remaining in an impossible-to-predict  scenario, we wanted to provide you planning capability. Please know that the HTL Committee is exhilarated with the opportunity to transform to a virtual gathering. To holistically and boldly go  . . .  to find and explore novel strategies . . . to share with you further discovery of Soul and Spirit of Education, even in cyber form.

Updates for Presenters

Again, please refer to your latest email from HTL Committee. Based upon your responses, we structured and published a conference-at-a-glance schedule. Based on your latest responses we will publish the Breakout Session Schedule soon. Additional updates will follow shortly. Thanks for your patience and flexibility!

Covid Update

We want you, members of our holistic community, to know that we have been diligently monitoring the ever-changing effects of COVID-19 on public health, gatherings, and travel. Our dearest hope has been that somehow circumstances in the world and in our local area would be normalized enough to allow us to convene our cherished holistic community in person–safely and lovingly. Recently, the news has led us to decide on a virtual conference. We are deeply grateful for your understanding, kindness, and words of support throughout this challenging year.

Can I earn academic credit for attending sessions at the conference?

Yes. You can earn (1) undergraduate or graduate course credit for full conference attendance. If interested, notify us prior to the conference at: (htlconference@sou.edu). You will then be able to use the information that will be provided to decide about academic credit.

In any case don’t forget to register for the conference through our HTLC registration page (available starting September 7, 2021). Students may register for the conference free. For all others, the general registration rate is: $50.
