What is Holistic Education?

When is the 2024 Holistic Teaching and Learning Conference (HTLC)?

We will be hosting our 2024 International Holistic Teaching & Learning Conference, Thursday, April 18th  through Sunday, April 21st, 2024. Mark your calendars!

What type of sessions will be offered:

As we have in past HTLC events, we will strive to blend sessions: plenary (everyone), breakout (choose between several offerings), and integrative (smaller interactive groups). Breakout sessions may be an experiential, roundtable presentation, or poster presentation. Other integrative activities will be announced. More details will be sent with the Call for Proposal email. Please see below.

When will registration open?

Registration will open in January. At that time you will receive an email detailing registration options, pricing, and processes.

When can I submit my conference proposal? 

The call for Propsals has been sent out. The deadlines for submissions is December 10th. Notification of acceptance will occur January 18th.

When are conference proposals due? 

The conference proposal form can be found under the HTL Conference of this website. Proposals are due by December 10th and applicants will be notfied of acceptance by January 18th.

When will I know more about the program? 

In January a tentative program schedule will appear on the website after submitted Proposals have been accepted and organized.

Can I earn academic credit for attending sessions at the conference?

Yes. You can earn (1) undergraduate or graduate course credit for full conference attendance. If interested, notify us prior to the conference at: (htlconference@sou.edu). You will then be able to use the information that will be provided to decide about academic credit. We will also be offering Professional Development Units (PDUs) in the form of a certificate of participation.

Will there be online offerings for this conference?
